First Baby Of 2024 Welcomed At WellSpan York Hospital

Just two minutes after midnight the first baby of 2024 came into the world at WellSpan York Hospital.

Grayson Hayes Zornes was born at 12:02 a.m. on Jan. 1, 2024. The city's White Rose Drop had happened minutes before but we're pretty sure he did not care that he missed the festivities.

This little boy weighed 6 pounds, 8 ounces, and was 20 inches long. His mom Casey Zornes is tired but "doing well," the hospital says.

Two more babies were delivered within the first hour of the New Year at WellSpan York Hospital.

WellSpan has five labor and delivery units across our region in our eight hospitals, with birthing units at WellSpan Chambersburg Hospital, WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital, WellSpan Gettysburg Hospital, WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital in Lebanon, and WellSpan York Hospital.
